Art on the Table! is Kunstmuseum Brandts' major historical exhibition in 2026 about the development of still life painting. The exhibition takes a closer look at the genre's origins and range, from the lavish arrangements of the Baroque to the more naturalistic depictions of the 19th century, showing how everyday objects such as fruits, bottles, and dishes can take on artistic weight and symbolic meaning.
Visitors can experience how the familiar and ordinary are transformed on canvas, as seemingly lifeless objects are given new life through form, beauty, and symbolism.
