Svøbsk consists of four accomplished musicians: Maren Hallberg Larsen (harmonica/vocals) and Jørgen Dickmeiss (violin/guitar/vocals) form the core, complemented by pianist and harmonica player Theis Langlands and percussionist Simon Busk. Over 20 years, they have refined their empathetic interplay and released numerous albums, including the award-winning jubilee album "Sorgenfri" from 2023.
The duo and their quartet's music is deeply rooted in traditional music from Denmark and neighbouring countries, while blending the heritage of folk musicians past with modern expression and innovation. They won a DMA Award as Roots Act of the Year in 2023 and were nominated as Live Act of the Year at Danish Music Awards Roots in 2021 and 2022.
