Artist Kaja Lahoda presents the exhibition Sit, an exploration of art, material and coexistence. Through works based on old typesetting cases, printing containers are transformed into wall-mounted reliefs filled with organic and synthetic materials. The work examines how the large becomes small and small things are given space to unfold.
The exhibition embraces multiple meanings of the word "sit" – the gesture of sitting down, the act of placing something in order, and the dog command. Through objects, materials and scent, the home is explored as a space where different species, materials and bodies negotiate their coexistence. A new language without words is created, which suggests an alternative reading of reality and cultivates new connections between species, elements and signs.
