Discover the fascinating world of Shibori, a traditional Japanese textile dyeing technique, and create your own unique patterns. During this workshop, you will learn to distinguish between Shibori and batik – Shibori uses precise folding, binding, and stitching techniques to create complex, detailed patterns, while batik typically works with more freely designed designs.
You will receive thorough guidance throughout the entire process: from fabric preparation to the final dyeing result. The workshop gives you plenty of time to master the different techniques and experiment creatively. As a participant, you take home 4 larger pieces of fabric that you can work with and reuse.
Practical info: The workshop lasts 3.5 hours and is held at Tekstilværkstedet. Entrance fee: 200 kr (+ possible fee). Registration is required via the ticketing system.
