Join a guided tour of the museum’s current exhibition KUNST PÅ BORDET! and explore the development of still life across 400 years of art history. The tour focuses on works ranging from the symbol-laden compositions of the 1600s to contemporary interpretations, inviting visitors to look closely at the many meanings of objects, lavish flowers, and uninhabited spaces.
The exhibition shows how still life shifted from displaying wealth, status, and lifestyle to later focusing on the more everyday and stripped-back aspects of life. KUNST PÅ BORDET! is created in collaboration with Nivaagaards Malerisamling, bringing classical masterpieces from the 1600s into dialogue with key works of Danish modernism from Kunstmuseum Brandts’ collection. The guided tour lasts about an hour at Kunstmuseum Brandts, and admission is free.
