Experience the groundbreaking art of Danish photographer Keld Helmer-Petersen on a guided tour through the museum's current exhibition. Spend an hour exploring his poetic works.
Helmer-Petersen achieved his breakthrough in 1948 with the book 122 Color Photographs, where he transformed everyday details – door handles, clouds, and shadows on walls – into artistic compositions. His innovative approach introduced modernism to Danish photography and revealed the hidden formal language in objects and buildings we otherwise overlook.
The exhibition showcases over 60 works, demonstrating in both black and white and color his experimental approach and ability to transform the mundane into the beautiful. The photographs remain fresh and contemporary even today.
