Join a guided tour through the museum's current photography exhibition. Danish photographer Keld Helmer-Petersen revolutionized Danish photography with his poetic vision and experimental approach. His breakthrough came in 1948 with the work 122 Color Photographs, where he focused on everyday details – door handles, summer skies, and shadows on building walls – transforming them into art. The images remain fresh and relevant today.
The exhibition displays more than 60 works and celebrates photography's unique ability to reveal beauty and visual form in the mundane: in objects and buildings we normally overlook or dismiss as uninteresting. With Helmer-Petersen as a pioneer, modernism was introduced to Danish photography.
The guided tour lasts approximately one hour and is free with museum admission.
