A group of young musicians gather at the music school to explore the boundaries of musical self-expression. Through workshops, they learn to use music to express their identity, cultural heritage, and what matters to them.
The project Musical Roots is initiated by Odense Music School with support from Mærkbar (the Tuborg Foundation through DMK). Leadership is in the hands of Melodi Soltani, also known as Melodi Ghazal – an artist who has worked deeply with her Iranian roots and developed a personal musical expression that embraces and celebrates her cultural background.
The concert presents the results of the workshop series, where the young musicians showcase their musical interpretations of their own stories and traditions together with Melodi Soltani.
