Resonator 2026 - Hjalte Ross Ensemble

Hjalte Ross presents new, yet unreleased songs at Resonator Festival with a specially assembled ensemble. Featuring artists from Sweden, Norway, Ireland and Denmark – Mika Persdotter, Siv Øyunn, Carolyn Goodwin, Astrid Matthesen and Mads Lang – a unique Nordic folk setup is created around Ross' songwriting.

Each musician brings their own tradition and background to the meeting, and through the ensemble's interplay, the songs find new formal modes of expression. The concert is built on presence and curiosity between the musicians, where Ross' personal song universe meets the ensemble's varied expressions.

Since his debut Embody in 2018, Aalborg-based Hjalte Ross has developed a distinctive voice in the crossfield between folk, rock, alternative songwriting and experimental arrangements. He has released three albums, toured internationally and performed at venues including Roskilde Festival and with Aalborg Symphony Orchestra.
