Odense Symphony Orchestra marks its 80th anniversary with a celebratory concert conducted by Christian Øland. The programme includes J. Nordin: Tillykke! Suite over tre populære, danske fødselsdagssange, John Frandsen: Koncert for orkester (World premiere) and Carl Nielsen: Symfoni nr. 5. There will also be surprises along the way as the orchestra celebrates its past, its present and what is still to come.
Odense Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1946 and is one of Denmark's five regional orchestras. Carl Nielsen is regarded as one of Denmark's most important composers, and his Symphony No. 5 is among his most distinctive orchestral works. The concert takes place at Odense Koncerthus, and admission is 150 kr.
