Little North presents music from the upcoming album Crossing Currents, to be released on the German label ACT Music. Since 2020, the Danish trio has released six albums and established itself as a distinctive voice on the European jazz scene. In this project, the trio’s Nordic sound and poetic precision meet impulses from the international jazz world, shaped through collaboration with Joel Ross (US) and Hannes Bennich (SE) in New York.
At this concert, the material takes on new life together with Dutch guitarist Reinier Baas (NL) and Hannes Bennich (SE), allowing the music to evolve in the moment through the interaction between the musicians and the audience. Reinier Baas is known as a distinctive European jazz guitarist with strong rhythmic drive and melodic inventiveness. Line-up: Reinier Baas (NL) - guitar, Hannes Bennich (SE) - alto sax, Benjamin Nørholm Jacobsen (DK) - piano, Martin Brunbjerg Rasmussen (DK) - bass, Lasse Jacobsen (DK) - drums. Venue: Dexter. Admission: 230 kr + possible fee.
