Odense fills with Christmas magic when the city invites to the annual Christmas tree lighting at Flakhaven. This beloved tradition marks the start of the Christmas season and brings Odenseians together for a festive evening.
The city's mayor is hoisted up in the crane and performs the honorary moment when the Christmas tree is lit. At the same time, the entire downtown Christmas decorations are illuminated, and thousands of lights create an almost magical atmosphere throughout the streets.
