In Thread is an exhibition exploring the significance of thread as material, symbol, and vital connection. Thread binds, gathers, and repairs — it is woven into our everyday lives, history, and survival.
The exhibition focuses on Greenlandic traditions, where sinews from hunted animals have been essential for sewing, tools, and clothing. Thread becomes a concrete expression of humanity's relationship to nature, craftsmanship, and the preservation of life.
Fyns Grafiske Værksted celebrates the poetic and practical power of thread: its ability to create relationships, hold narratives, and connect past, present, and future.
Opening reception: Friday, 16 October at 15.00 — all are welcome.
