Hamradun delivers impressive folk-rock rooted in the harsh landscape of the Faroe Islands and centuries-old North Atlantic ballad traditions. The songs tell stories of heroic men and women, their great deeds and often tragic endings – stories that remain an essential part of Faroese culture through traditional circle dancing and other cultural practices.
The band offers an authentic glimpse into Faroese heritage by interweaving tradition with contemporary expression. The combination of modern instruments, heavy tones and the well-preserved Faroese language creates a distinctive sound anchored in North Atlantic waves.
The concert is part of Resonator Festival 2026 and presented in collaboration with the North Atlantic House. From 18:30-19:45, the Faroese Association holds a dance workshop through Miðgarðsormurin, performing in Faroese national costume with traditional circle dancing. Concert tickets grant free admission to the workshop.
Prices: students 175-200 DKK, non-students 240-265 DKK, members of the North Atlantic House 175-200 DKK. Mandatory cloakroom costs 25 DKK (30 DKK for non-students). Free admission with Resonator pass or Friday day ticket.
