Preview performance. Marie Grubbe - Part 1 is the first part of a sensual serial theatre production about a woman who defies the norms of her time. Based on J.P. Jacobsen's novel, the performance portrays Marie Grubbe's journey from a life shaped by noble expectations, proper manners and emptiness to an existence set in motion by her encounter with Ulrik Christian. Here, desire, dreams and love awaken in her, and her longing to live life intensely becomes the driving force of this powerful portrait.
The production is presented as serial theatre over two evenings at Odense Teater. When buying a ticket for the serial theatre, remember to buy for both part 1 and 2. Admission: 140 kr.
