Skyggebørn is a nonprofit organisation offering unrestricted grief care for children and young people in Denmark's five largest cities. When critical illness strikes a family, younger family members are often pushed into the background while all attention focuses on the sick or dying. Skyggebørn works to change this by supporting grieving children and young people through volunteer-led grief groups.
This evening, volunteer and local fundraiser Torben Fahrenholz will visit Stige Sognegård to share insights into the organisation's work. He will explain how volunteers facilitate the grief groups, listen actively, and help children and young people process their loss. Through these communities, vulnerable young people are given room to feel safe in their grief and receive the support they need during an extraordinary difficult time.
