Step into a creative workshop hosted by Mette Finderup and discover how to craft compelling characters for fantasy stories. Finderup, who has authored over 100 books for children and young people—including the beloved A.S.P.E. fantasy series, which follows four young magical spies—shares her unique approach to storytelling through dice rolls and chance.
As a longtime gamer and experienced roleplayer, Finderup draws on these interests to reveal how randomness and dice mechanics shape her character development process in the A.S.P.E. series. During the workshop, you'll explore the essential elements that make characters memorable and believable in fiction, then create your own characters using dice-based methods. You'll also gain insight into how the creative mind works when building fictional worlds and their inhabitants.
Participants are encouraged to bring laptops if desired, though they are not required. Ticket sales open September 21 at 10:00.
