Fafner Bank at Odense Main Library is your gateway to the festival's currency system. Here you can exchange your Danish kroner for odinars – the magical coin used throughout the festival.
When purchasing odinars from the bank witches, the following terms apply: 1000 odinars cost 50 kroner. As a first-time visitor, it is recommended to purchase enough to cover around 6000 odinars per day – experience shows that children spend approximately this amount on festival activities on average. Important note: odinars cannot be exchanged back to kroner after purchase, but you can save them for next year's festival.
New in 2026, the festival's latest book, Odin's Veil 2 – Child of All Worlds, is offered when you purchase odinars for 400 kroner (equivalent to 8000 odinars). The book provides deeper insight into the universe and characters behind Magical Days Odense.
Fafner Bank at the Main Library is staffed by the library's book witches and is open throughout week 42 during the library's regular staffed opening hours. Only MobilePay payments are accepted here.
