This exhibition at Gallerie Rasmus showcases works by four significant artists exploring movement, form, and artistic experimentation.
Dolors Rusiñol Masramon (born 1959), a Spanish artist, creates paintings and mixed media works that often depict dance, movement, and fleeting moments. With a minimalist and nearly surrealist visual language, she presents dancers – from classical ballet to contemporary dance – that appear to float poetically in space. Her works combine tension and calm while reflecting on time and existence, with an aesthetic depth that invites the viewer on a metaphorical journey.
Quim Domene (born 1948) works in a multidisciplinary approach combining painting, collage, and photography. He blends figurative and abstract art with surrealist inspiration and has created series inspired by iconic Danish design – including works referencing Hans J. Wegner and Arne Jacobsen. After being occupied with three major museum exhibitions in Spain, his work is now presented at the gallery for the first time.
Pontus Kjerrman (born 1954), a Danish-Swedish sculptor, is featured with his characteristic sculptures of beings that are both animal and human, mythical and everyday simultaneously – including the well-known sculpture Shepherdess and the Chimney Sweep in Odense's pedestrian street.
Sven Dalsgaard (1914–1999), a prominent Danish artist, was self-taught and moved fluidly between naturalism, surrealism, Dada, and avant-garde.
