An evening exploring music history, homosexuality, and social activism. Bent Jacobsen sang "I am gay, and I am glad for it!" on the album Bøsse from 1975 – a bold manifesto at a time when homosexuality was still classified as a mental illness. The record was banned from major retailers and deemed controversial, yet for many gay men it became a turning point: evidence that they were not alone.
Today, the album's 50th anniversary is marked by the book Denmark's Most Dangerous Record and a reissue of Bøsse. Bent Jacobsen and journalist Cathrine Errboe discuss the album's creation, life as a gay man in 1970s Copenhagen, dance bans, the Gay Liberation Front (Bøssernes Befrielsesfront), and gay activism. During the talk, tracks from Bøsse are played, recorded with musicians Anders Koppel, Kasper Winding, Jens Rugsted, and Nils Tuxen. The event concludes with an audience Q&A session.
