Explore 19th-century building traditions and experience how farmers constructed their houses and farms. You'll learn about local building materials – stone, clay, lime, wood and straw – that allowed houses to be modular, easily modified, expanded or relocated.
During the autumn holidays, you can try your hand at bricklaying with traditional lime mortar. What makes this activity special is that the mortar allows bricks to be easily taken apart again, so you experience the flexibility of the craft yourself and can reuse materials – just as farmers did.
Practical: Arranged at Den Fynske Landsby. Free admission with paid entrance.
