Blues Caravan returns in 2026 as Ruf Records sends its popular live tour back on the road for the 20th time. On this anniversary tour, audiences can experience Laura Chavez, Matthew Curry and Elise Fran in a line-up that brings together experience, intensity and emerging talent from the blues and rock scene.
Laura Chavez from California is the most established name in the trio and is known as a powerful guitarist with a strong rhythmic style and explosive solos. She was for many years the musical driving force in Candye Kane's band and has also performed with Nikki Hill, Vanessa Collier and Mitch Ryder. In 2023, she became the first woman to receive a Blues Music Award for "Best Instrumentalist - Guitar" from The Blues Foundation. Ashley Sherlock from Manchester previously took part in Blues Caravan in 2023 and is known for personal songwriting, a raw guitar sound and the debut album Just a Name from 2023. Elise Lounici from France is a younger artist to watch and has led the blues and rock band FRANK since 2021, performing at major European blues festivals including Cognac Blues Passions Festival in France and The Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival in Ballyshannon, Ireland.
