Barselona has been a strong presence on the Danish music scene for ten years. The duo Rud Aslak and Rasmus Theodor made their debut with not just one but two debut albums, 'Legebørn' and 'Hjertebank', and have since released music at a high pace while maintaining an almost constant touring schedule. Their fourth album, 'Væbnet Hjerte', was released in September 2023 and received high praise from critics. In 2026, they are back with their own record label, RRekord, and the single 'Udsving', which was selected as P3s Uundgåelige on its release date, 20. februar. The track will also appear on an upcoming album set for release in efteråret 2026.
Rud and Rasmus have also collaborated with Karoline Funder, who sings the duet 'Mørket falder ind', to be released as a single in marts 2026 in connection with Barselona's two long-sold-out '60 Minutes' concerts with Copenhagen Phil. Live, the band delivers a rock concert that ranges from big choruses and bass-heavy beats to fast solos, piano ballads, and communal singalongs. The concert takes place at Kulturmaskinen - Magasinet, and admission is 295 kr + evt. gebyr.
