A powerful and personal lecture about life on the streets and the struggle to turn it around. Anders tells his own story from Aarhus in 1978 to today – a narrative full of challenges, abandonment, and persistent hope.
From a turbulent childhood marked by crime and abuse in his family, through a tragic accident that left him disabled, to years of homelessness and substance addiction. In 2025, Anders got his own apartment and became largely clean – but just as the light shone through, he lost one leg due to infection.
With openness and courage, Anders shares his experiences to warn about the dangers of morphine preparations and to heal through storytelling. He still dreams of going to Spain where his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren live – and his fight continues, now also with phantom pain as his daily companion.
