A welcoming introduction to Tekstilværkstedet for both beginners and experienced sewers! Whether you've never used a sewing machine, haven't sewn since school days, or already know your way around, this workshop invites you to learn or refresh your skills.
Over 2.5 hours, we cover the practical basics: threading a sewing machine, using an overlocker, thread tension, and seam allowances. You'll also get a tour of the studio's other facilities – tie-dye and batik, covered buttons, embroidery machine, textile printer, textile printing, and steam system.
Most importantly: you'll get hands-on experience! In the workshop, you'll sew your own beautiful mule pouch with leather handles, which you'll take home. Coffee and tea are included, and you're welcome to bring your own food.
This introduction is a relaxed way to get to know the space and feel confident using Tekstilværkstedet.
